How to Choose a Yoga Class

The first thing that you want to look for in a Yoga Class and Yoga Instructor is that the teacher is teaching the type of Yoga that you want. And that Your not signing up for an advance Class when your a beginner. Beginners classes will basically teach you simple movements and meditation, and advance classes are more for people who have been doing yoga for awhile and are more flexible.

You don’t want to be in a class with advance and your not able to meditate and not flexible enough to keep up with the class, this will make you just want to quit Yoga all together.

If you are pregnant check with your doctor and then find a class that specializes with prenatal yoga.


Get a brief outline of the class that you want to take to make sure that it meets your needs. You don’t want to find out that the Yoga class that you signed up for isn’t want you want to achieve in that class.

Ask your friends if they have taken a class to get their reactions to the teacher. Not all teachers are the same.

Don’t feel like you have the take the whole series of classes if you are not happy with the Yoga Instructor.
